Sarah Tanbakuchi
President & Chief Executive Officer
An advocate for our region, Sarah joined TechBuffalo to continue spearheading efforts to elevate and promote homegrown tech talent in WNY and raise Buffalo-Niagara’s profile as a top destination for tech. Sarah has led large-scale operations in banking, including the launch of the M&T Tech Academy, served as an attorney, and is an active member of the community serving as a board member of several organizations.
Cydney Johnson
Marketing and Outreach
Cydney’s extensive experience includes managing tech-focused marketing strategies for a variety of brands, working in recruitment for a higher education institution, and serving as a board member for a local opera nonprofit.
Mary Ruelle
Higher Education Program Lead
Mary has eight years of education experience, six of those in the higher education sector. Her experience includes career services, academic advising, advancement, and student conduct. She also owns and operates Dolly Cakes Cakery, an online bakery in Buffalo.
Cameron Smith
Finance & Operations Director
Cameron joins the team with eight years of non-profit professional experience focused specifically on finance and operations. Outside of work he is a member of the Seneca Street CDC Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for the Buffalo Rugby Club.
DaMante’ Curry
Special Projects Coordinator
DaMante’ has experience in various industries from clinical trials research to large-scale data management. His experience has given him the opportunity to work within higher education, nonprofit, and start-up organizations.
Rachel Eastlack
Community Impact Program Lead
As a trained social worker, Rachel brings a trauma-informed and person-centered lens in hopes of further creating a diverse and equitable tech landscape within the Buffalo community. Outside of the office, Rachel spends time thrifting & curating vintage furniture for her passion project, At Home on Heath.
Dylan Assil
Program Development Intern
Dylan is a rising Senior at UB’s School of Management, majoring in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. He holds the position of president at the UB Marketing Association. Outside of his studies, Dylan has a keen interest in music, often spending their free time writing about music and mixing tracks.
