Community Services Coordinator

At TechBuffalo, we care deeply about our relationship with the community, both internal and external. We’re seeking a Community Impact Coordinator to help us maintain and nurture these relationships for our organization which ensures we can carry out our mission. As a nonprofit organization, our job is to represent and collaborate with diverse and hard-working groups throughout the region to grow the tech industry and better our hometown. Our ideal team member will have excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills, but also the ability to foster positive relationships with both individuals and organizations. You’ll be an important ambassador for the organization, often speaking internally and publicly – relaying the company’s vision within the local community.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing the strategy to build and maintain programs, wrap-around services, and activities that will have a positive impact on the community
  • Organize community outreach and impact programs, and coordinate special events that promote TechBuffalo’s services
  • Build and maintain relationships with members of the community, key individuals, and other organizations
  • Evaluate and respond to website inquires requesting information or potential partnerships
  • Identify community partners and onboard them. Identify needs of individuals in our community and connect them to the appropriate community partner
  • Lead TechBuffalo’s mentoring program, including matching of individuals, communication, follow up and any necessary support to help create a beneficial experience
  • Serve as a key point of contact for neighboring businesses, institutions, and communities
  • Draft and distribute various communications that promote TechBuffalo and the organization’s offerings and happenings
  • Attend relevant events and activities to represent the organization and build strong relationships with key community members
  • Assist with social media planning and content to enhance the online profile of the organization
  • Assist with creating process documents and standard operating procedures
  • Learn and understand the strategy of TechBuffalo and bring forward ideas and suggestions to further help connect the dots and serve our community

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in social services or other similar industries required
  • Work experience or volunteer experience in a non-profit setting is highly preferred
  • Understanding of wraparound service providers
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills
  • Experience working directly with diverse populations
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact and kindness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related writing and presentation software required. Experience using a CRM system highly preferred
  • Strong desire to make Buffalo a better place and bring people together to create opportunity

Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000 based on experience

Operations / Administrative Coordinator

At TechBuffalo, our success depends on our people, productivity, and processes. An Operations Coordinator is the supportive force driving each of these areas, and we’re currently seeking someone stellar to take the reins. The ideal person for the role is a flexible problem solver with superb communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset. You should have prior experience thriving in an administrative capacity and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure general management of the office, overseeing operational efficiency, effective communications, and other types of strategic and tactical planning
  • Maintain facilities management, vendor contracts and relations, and facilitation of all office functions and services
  • Schedule and track meetings and appointments for the organization
  • Update spreadsheets, databases, and documents used by the organization for accounting, partnerships, and other necessary purposes
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity
  • Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
  • Maintain consistent communication with management, colleagues, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
  • Manage timely data collection to achieve organizational goals and targets, and deliver excellent customer service

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in business operations or administrative support role
  • Experience working with management and within a team environment to develop and improve internal processes, manage projects and ensure all organization deadlines are met
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills
  • Experience working directly with diverse populations
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact and kindness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related writing and presentation software required. Experience using a CRM system highly preferred

Salary: $40,000-$46,000 based on experience.
